Richard Johnson Obituary
January 10, 1931 - February 8, 2018
Richard N. Johnson Sr., age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 8th, 2018. He was born on Jan. 10th, 1931, in Ft. Worth Texas to James Johnson and Willie Mae Paridice.
Richard is survived by his wife and constant companion of 49 years, Betty L. Johnson. He is also survived by his three children Debra Alder and son-in-law James, Rick Johnson and daughter-in-law Pat, and Donna Frodge and son-in-law David. He is preceded in death by his daughter Contessa Hall.

Richard served his country in the 1st Marine Division, 7th Regiment, 1st Battalion Weapons Company from Sep. 1948 to Dec. 1951 as Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned several medals along with a Presidential Unit Citation for extraordinary heroism. After his military service, Richard returned home where he worked for the City Public Service of San Antonio for 42 years.
Richard lived his life with passion and dedication. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart and always put their needs above his own.

He will be greatly missed by his 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grand
children, family, friends, and neighbors.

Richard was an avid hunter who looked forward to spending every deer season with his son, grandsons, and friends. He was a man of faith who walked with the Lord and enjoyed serving his church community in Boerne, TX. A Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Ebensberger-
Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne, TX.

Interment will follow at the Boerne Cemetery.
