To the family of Jamie Perez:

It is with great admiration and respect that I offer my condolences on the death of Ms. Perez. I saw in the Express-News that she was a veteran of the Gulf War. Please know that Ms. Perez is mourned even by those of us who weren't fortunate enough to know her personally. As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I know firsthand that her sacrifices on behalf of our great nation are deeply appreciated. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

Warm Regards,

Senator Leticia Van de Putte

I am grateful for the opportunity to have known Jamie. Heaven was missing an angel, and Jamie was needed to complete the mission.

Sleep on my sister, and get your rest!
I will never forget the times that we shared.

Felix and Mercedes, I know that Jamie has met so many people in heaven and is snapping pictures for her albumn, because she had that infectious personality that allowed no one to be a stranger. You had a jewel in Jamie and I know that you realize that God blessed you by giving her to you, even if for a short time. God bless of you.

Jamie, what a blessing it was to know you. From the first day that I saw you at the luncheon for "Our
First Lady'" we became friends when
I apologized for staring at you so, and told you that you reminded me of my sister when she was your age.
Thank you for those memories and for the memories that I have from knowing you. Felix and Mercedes, you are in our prayers and if we can be of help in any way, please let us know.
