Ava Naomi Cox, age 91, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 29, 1918 in San Antonio, Texas to Richard & Alma Byrne. Survivors include her son, Gary Wayne Cox; daughter, Bonnie J. Zumwalt & husband, Henry; grandson, Daryl Zumwalt & wife, Megan, great-grandsons, Dawson & Mason; grandson, Brandon Zumwalt & wife, Karri; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:45 A.M. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzafar Shrine Temple. Louie and I want to extend our sympathy to all of the family. Louie enjoyed joking around with your Mom.We will miss her,but I know she is in a better place. In lieu of flowers we will give a $50.00 donation to the Shriners.

Dear BonnieandGary,other family members, Keyna and I want to express our sorrow to you for the loss of your mother. We lost our father January 2009,he was 85. Mom left us 30yrs agoDec 20th. God Bless, now our moms are together doing surveywork for the Lord,and catching up about their kids,and being together with our dads too. I wish to extend my most sincere sympathies to Gary and Bonnie and their families. I really enjoyed her and Les' company the couple of times I was able to come to Texas to visit.
