I am Pastor of a Presbyterian Church in Denver Colorado. I did not know Rev. Oetting but only now googled his name. I am presently reading of the books he owned as a minister, "What Luther Said." His name is in the inside cover. We are reminded that "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saint." Please know that in retirement and even death, his life and ministry continues!

Angie and Bill, I am praying for your father and entire family.
You were so sweet and kind to care for him in your home. May he be at peace now with God the Father.

Marji and I send our sincere condolences to Marie, Angela, Julie, Jim, Gloria and Mary at the passing of their father or brother on Dec. 31. I got to know Lou when I came to San Antonio in 1996. He had just informed the Church in Pearsall that he could no longer be the intern pastor because of the increasing need to care for Sharon. I came to San Antonio from Indiana (because my architect wife had accepted a position here), but without a church to pastor. I soon was called by the congregation in Pearsall. We rejoice knowing that we shall meet again and that Lou is with Christ and Sharon and others in heavenly joy and peace, awaiting the bodily resurrection at the last trump.
