Jose Soto Obituary
Jose Manuel Soto, our beloved brother, entered rest on May 11, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born to Paulino and Guadalupe Soto on July 27, 1934 in Poteet, Texas. Jose enjoyed many hobbies such as: playing dominoes with family and friends, listening and dancing to conjunto music, watching westerns on TV. He was also responsible for raising and lowering the American flag daily at El Jardin de St. James apartment complex. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sisters, Maria Elena Medrano and Maria Louisa Garcia; brothers, Raul Soto (Suzan), Paulino Soto, Jr. (Rosalinda) and Jesus Salvador Soto (Susan); various nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, May 16, to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
