OTTO, A. STUART A. STUART OTTO Friend Stuart April 20, 1915 to April 27, 2006 Albert Stuart Otto, Friend Stuart, peacefully passed on Thursday evening, April 27, 2006, at Marian Estates in Sublimity, Oregon. Stuart was born on April 20, 1915 in Mt. Vernon, New York to Albert Stuart Otto and Verna Howarth Wilkins (Martha Wentworth). Stuart graduated from Santa Monica High School, Santa Monica, CA in 1932. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves from 1945-1955 as a 2nd Lt. He was a professional public speaker and lecturer on philosophical, historical, and scientific subjects for over 35 years. In 1954 Stuart had a profound inner experience which revolutionized his outlook and started him on the metaphysical approach to spiritual truth. In 1964 he founded "The Philosophical Library" and was active in it until his "Christ-Jesus awakening". Stuart founded "The Invisible Ministry", a healing prayer ministry in 1963, "The Dominion Press" in 1968 and "Church of the Trinity" in 1972. From 1963 to 2004, The Invisible Ministry functioned continually as a beacon of Truth and Love to all who turned to it. Trinity Center included Trinity Healing Prayer, Trinity School of Theology, Church Of The Trinity, The Dominion Press, The Chapel of The Eternal Word, and The Affiliated Christian Emortalists. Friend Stuart, as he was known, authored 18 books and many publications and was listed in Marquis Who's Who in Religion 1985 for "outstanding achievement in his field of endeavor". Stuart married Catherine "Kay" Ruth (Gale) Boggess in 1968 and lived in San Marcos and Escondido, California. They moved to Salem, Oregon in 1991. Stuart and Kay were ordained Christian ministers in Church of the Trinity and counselors and prayer ministers for Trinity Healing Prayer. Kay passed on March 26, 2004 and on May 1, 2004 Stuart moved into Lakeside Assisted Living in Stayton, Oregon. Stuart was a Life Member of Rotary International. He enjoyed religious reading and listening to jazz from 1920's to 1950's. He contributed articles to "Clef Magazine", a jazz publication. Stuart was a very positive person who touched many lives. He also had a great sense of humor. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeanne. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kristin "Kristie" Anne (Boggess) and Delmar Lewis Souther of Keizer, OR; nephew, Bradley S. Scott of Salt Lake City, UT; niece, Linda (Scott) Hatanaka of Hong Kong; brother-in-law, Malcolm Moore of Pasadena, CA; ex-wife, Virginia Otto of N. Lauderdale, FL; and many friends. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to your favorite Christian church or charity. A private, Christian memorial service for immediate family members was held on April 27, 2006 in Sublimity, Oregon. Arrangements are by Virgil T.
