ALICE LAHMANN Obituary

LAHMANN, ALICE ANN At 81, after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease, Alice Ann passed peacefully away in her home on August 5, 2012. Throughout her illness, she maintained the optimistic, positive attitude that was her hallmark characteristic. She joins her beloved family members: sister and brother-in-law D'Etta and Robert Sheffield; brother and sister-in-law Hap and Christa Bowlin; parents Henry and Ann Bowlin; and cousin Maryann Rodgers and her husband Ralph in heaven. Alice Ann cared for foster children and operated a licensed day care center for over 40 years. She loved family gatherings, knitting, reading, walking, and visiting Hawaii, and national and local parks. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Earl Lahmann, son Gary Lahmann, daughters Lisa Cangro, D'Ann Miller, Lori Schuppert, and five grandchildren Kevin, Brittany, Emily, Kirsten, and Steven. All family continue to reside near her Lakeside, California home. She will always be remembered as being a beautiful and giving person, someone who was quick to laugh, someone who provided motherly advice, and who was a loving wife and mother. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, beginning 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 190 E. Douglas Ave., El Cajon CA 92020.
