There are so many times as I pull out out of my driveway that I look over at your garage and smile remembering you sitting there. It was always nice seeing your smiling face, and your wave as I drove by. You are thought of often Don. Till we meet again! Tracy

To the Whitt Family,
Don Whitt was an instructor to me and many other people who attended the San Diego Golf Academy in the early 1990's. Don, was an incredible story teller, who would always have us all laughing. His experiences, his knowledge and anything you ever asked of him, ...he would always listen, give you a tip and lend a helping hand. Whether it was a lesson, or a golf club repair tip, ...when Don spoke, (I always called him "Mr. Whitt" back then, as I was young), you listened, because you knew that he knew, what he was talking about. We all had a deep respect for Don, because he was a person who had vast knowledge of the game of golf, and he had valuable insights to share about playing the game, instruction, and getting one's mind ready for tournaments. His knowledge lives on, through us all, and I am glad I had the experience (and I know I speak for many people) to know him and learn from him. I send you all, the very best! "Mr. Whitt" was one of a kind, and he will be greatly missed!!!

Everyday that goes by is a bit more empty without the greeting that I always received as he waved hello as I drove by. I miss that greatly.
Thank you Don, and Monica, for blessing our lives.

Don was one of the great guys and characters that for a while called Stardust CC home. He was an extraordinary teaching pro who could fix my swing in five minutes and for only five dollars. Many of us youngsters hung around the golf shop and listened to our heroes as they regaled us with tale after tale, Don was certainly one of our favorites. We were lucky to have him on the staff of possibly the greatest pro shop in golf history. Steve Turner

I only had the pleasure of knowing Don for 8 yrs. I always knew Don to be happy, full of interesting stories and I LOVED his love of Hawaii. It was always nice seeing his smiling face and friendly wave as I drove past his & Monica's house. Don will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for the loss Monica and her family are having to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

To The Whitt Family: I was saddened to recently learn of Don's passing. He was a good man and a man of character and decency. I wish you all the best in dealing with his loss.
