Elaine Brack

Brack, Elaine (Strong) LAKESIDE -- Elaine (Strong) Brack passed away peacefully on December 27, 2014 at Magnolia Post Acute Care. With her passing, East County lost a dedicated community volunteer. Elaine was the Past President of the Lakeside Historical Society and Woman's Club of Lakeside. She was also active in the Bostonia Women's Club and helped resurrect the Santee Historical Society. Elaine graduated from Grossmont High School in 1959. She was active in the Girl Scouts from Brownies through Jr. Girl Scouts with her daughters. She was a working mother and retired from Secretary duties at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church and Pre-school. She also volunteered as the Wedding Coordinator, Funeral Director and co- chaired the youth groups and church camps. She leaves behind her loving husband of 32 years, Charles; and two daughters, Tami Pinachio and her husband, John, two grandsons, Craig Cook and Darren Gay; daughter, Juli Champlin and husband Scott and two grandchildren, Jenna and Marshal Champlin. Her mother, Ruth McMullin, passed away previously. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to Elaine's favorite charity, The Battered Woman's Shelter Fund, sponsored by the Bostonia Women's Club. A memorial service will be held for Elaine on Friday, January 9 at 11am at the United Methodist Church, 8964 Magnolia Avenue, Santee, CA. Reverend Dennis Ginoza will officiate.
