Gary Harold Gibson October 11, 1945 - April 27, 2018 Oceanside Longtime Oceanside resident and business owner of Gary's Auto-RV Service passed away early on April 27, 2018 in his sleep at the age of 72. Gary Gibson was born in Oakland, California on October 11, 1945. He was preceded in death by his wonderful parents Harold and Lois Gibson. Gary's passions in life were family, friends, cars and trucks, fishing, hunting, boating and all animals. Gary was a member of LeTip and later North County Business Networking Group where he forged many friends. He always had a positive attitude, a story to tell and was the nicest man on earth. Gary is survived by his wife, Karen Pearce Gibson whom he loved and sent her red roses every 7th of the month for 17 years until his passing. He is also survived by his daughter that he adored, Dawn "Dusty" Gibson, stepsons: Colonel Elliot Schroeder (USAR) and Mark Robert Schroeder Jr. whom he loved and praised and they loved him. Daughters-in-law: Sandy Apodaca Gibson, Ebru and Jennifer Schroeder that he admired and loved. Grandchildren: Vivian, Robby, Xander and Alara Schroeder that he cherished. His sister Linda Novak who he respected and loved dearly. Brothers-in-law: Paul Novak, Steven Pearce, Darryn Kellogg and Jim McLain whom he enjoyed and loved as well as his sisters-in-law: Susan Kellogg and Vicky Kirkman McLain. Nieces: Susan Kahakui, Rebecca Kellogg and Alexis Bols. Nephews: Doug Novak, Greg Kellogg and Shane Bols. Great-nieces: Kaleigh Kahakui, Cassie Kaygey, Marlo Kahakui and Rowan Bols. Great-nephews: Hopena Kahakui, Donald Kaygey, Ethan Novak, Jason Gilbert and Henry Hudson Bols. Great-great twin nephews: Caleb and Cameron Kahakui-Gilbert. Cousins: Linda Purscell, Eunice and Herb Dackerman, Darrell and Genie Strom and Lori Taguding. Longtime employees and close friends: Dave Sheets and Mike McCabe. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, 6:00-8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Chapel, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California.
