Inez Coffman Obituary
Inez Coffman October 1946 - December 31, 2017 Chula Vista Inez Coffman of Chula Vista died peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was 71 years old. Inez was born and raised in San Diego. She was an accomplished artist who was truly an expert with all mediums. Her professional career began in the early 1960's painting windows for various holidays. She remained very busy in her craft until about 2 years ago when she became physically unable to create. In October of 2003, Inez was diagnosed with ALS (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease), a progressive neurodegenerative disease. Her great love of life gave her the stamina and will to live many years beyond a typical patient. Inez was very active in the ALS community and was a model of hope and strength for many of the friends she made who also suffered with this terrible disease. She was a very generous and giving person who was always willing to help anyone in need and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. During Inez's battle with ALS, two organizations were very dear to her The ALS Association and Sharp Hospice Care. Not only did they provide her the services associated with their purpose, they fostered true, loving, caring, genuine relationships with her. They were always there for her and her family above and beyond their normal functions. In lieu of flowers and/or gifts, it is requested that you please consider a charitable contribution in her memory to one of these absolutely amazing organizations.
