Noralee McKittrick Bruce Obituary
Noralee McKittrick Bruce January 8, 1924 - August 18, 2018 San Diego IN LOVING MEMORY Noralee McKittrick Bruce passed away at her home in San Diego on the evening of August 18, 2018. Noralee was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 8, 1924. At the age of ten she was tested genius with an IQ of 161, and just got smarter and more beautiful through the years. She married Martin "Mac" McKittrick in June of 1940, with whom she had two daughters, Catherine (Bud) Rollison of San Diego, and Patricia (Joe) Fos of Sun Valley, Idaho. Mac and Noralee were married 31 years when he passed away in 1971.Noralee was a woman who not only wore make-up perfectly, but was a cosmetic consultant for Sears for 25 years, and occasionally conducted lectures on how ladies should properly apply their make-up throughout their age process (as you mature, you make-'down', you don't make-'up'). And, she always looked forward to her monthly ladies' luncheons with her friends from Sears. She was a widow for 13 years during which time she pursued careers in Real Estate and Travel, and was an active member of the Klee Wyck Society of the Museum of Man where she formed life-long friendships. Noralee enjoyed travel immensely, and visited Europe twice, Asia, Hawaii, South America, Canada and travelled extensively throughout the United States. She had a keen eye for design and a passion for interior decorating, and furnished beautifully memorable homes wherever she lived. In 1984 she married the love of her life, Elvin "Bruce" Bruce, at which time she completely retired, and they were married until his passing in 1999. She has since enjoyed the love and attention of her dear friends and family. We were blessed with the best Mother and Nana ever, and she will be forever missed! Noralee just wanted to be happy and wanted everyone around her to be happy, too, and to enjoy her life with family and friends. Noralee is survived by her two daughters, Cathy and Patty, her two granddaughters, Kittrece (Richard) Faber, and Shannon Weeks, and beloved great-grandson, Buster Weeks. Her parents and all six siblings have predeceased her. Noralee will be laid to rest at 11:00am at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery next to Bruce, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00pm at the clubhouse of the "Pacific Bluffs" townhomes, 5326 Mt. Alifan Drive, San Diego, CA 92111.
