Philip Raney Obituary

RANEY, PHILIP E. Philip E. Raney, born March 9, 1929 passed away peacefully January 2, 2006. Son of Floyd and Dica Raney, Phil was born in Craig, Missouri. Phil moved to California in 1947 and began a long career in the aerospace industry working for Solar Turbines, Rohr Industries and General Dynamics. Phil also owned a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in La Mesa. He served as president of the Elks Lodge 1812. Phil was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife June, brothers Murray and Ivan, son David and his wife Patricia, son Gregory, step children Rob McEwan and his wife Teresa, Lisa Godwin and her husband Mark and 5 grandchildren. Phil will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends. Memorial Services will be held at the El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812 at 2 p.m. on January 6, 2006. Viewing at Erickson-Anderson La Mesa Mortuary on Monday, January 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside services at 2 p.m. at Singing Hills Memorial Park.
