R. Adam Rendon February 18, 1977 - August 25, 2018 SAN DIEGO Ralph Adam Rendon passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 25th, 2018. Adam lived a life full of adventure, athletics, and travel, and will be dearly missed by his family, friends and acquaintances. A funeral mass and service to celebrate Adam's life will take place on Saturday, September 15th at 10:00 am, with a reception immediately following, at St. James Catholic Church, 625 South Nardo Avenue, Solana Beach, California.Adam grew up in Encinitas, California, and attended San Dieguito High School, then went on to attend the University of Southern California as a third generation Trojan. He achieved his dreams of playing college football as a placekicker and was ultimately rewarded with a scholarship after playing as a walk-on. Adam was in the national spotlight featured in Sports Illustrated magazine, and on national television when playing against arch rival Notre Dame.Adam loved to travel and visited many countries and cultures all over the world. He was also devoted to jiu-jitsu and the martial arts in his adult life. Many of his travels stemmed from his relationships and competitions in martial arts, and he was very happy to see his nieces emerging interest in this as well.Adam is survived by his girlfriend, Devon Crutchley, son, Riley Rendon, his parents Ralph and Tina Rendon, grandmother Annie Chandler, of San Diego, his sisters Alexis Tanner, (Steve), and nieces Eva and Lyla of Jupiter, Florida, and Lisa Davidson (Jeff), nieces Abigail and Julia of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
