Weichelt, Robert A. EAST COUNTY -- Robert "Bob Finely" Weichelt passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, surrounded by his boys, Robert, Rodney and Erik. Bob was a loving Father and Grandfather, dedicated fisherman as well as the funniest and hardest working man you've ever met. Born in upstate New York, Bob's family moved to Tucson and eventually relocated to Fletcher Hills, El Cajon where he grew up. He had an eventful and meaningful life. He enjoyed playing baseball, shining shoes or fishing with his brother Skip and Dad. His mother Grace, father Bill, twin sister Barbara and brother Skip were very important to him. Bob was a successful business man, with several successful companies. Bob had a deep and caring relationship with his 3 sons and was also the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren who he enjoyed very much; Franklin, Jeff, Brittney, Brandon,Kelsey, Jacob, Leith, Katelyn, Gage and Isaak. He is survived by his three sons Robert (Carla, Rodney (Holly) and Erik, sister Barbara Shopp (Pete) and his brother William "Skip" Weichelt (Leanne), nieces Kim Bowling, Debra Weichelt, Stacy Bassini and Pete Shopp Jr. You are invited to Celebrate his life with us on April 5, 2014 from 4pm-6pm at Anthony's Restaurant (his favorite) in La Mesa.
