Dick Noel May 30, 1927 - October 20, 2017 Rancho Bernardo Dick Noel loving husband, father and dear friend, passed away October 20, 2017 with his wife Nancy by his side. Dick was born May 30, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York.Dick served honorably on the USS Admiral H.T. Mayo during WWII from 1944 to 1946. After serving his country Dick discovered his singing talent that took him on a wonderful journey through the world of show business. He enjoyed performing in nightclubs, then touring the U. S. with the Ray Anthony Orchestra. He was popular on Don McNeil's Breakfast Club and a featured performer on the Tennessee Ernie Ford Show. In 1965 Dick left Ford's variety hour and focused on singing for national TV and radio commercial spots. He was known as the "King of Jingles" by recording thousands of spots for various nationally known companies. Most of all he was known for his quick wit and kindness to everyone he met.Dick retired in the late 1980's in Rancho Bernardo, CA. He had many fond memories of entertaining but his wife Nancy was the love and foundation of his life. They enjoyed skiing trips to Mammoth Mountain, dinner out with friends or quiet evenings at home. They shared 40 years of happiness, love and devotion to one another. Dick was a wonderful father and is survived by his daughter, Patti and son-in-law, Roy, daughter Cathy, and stepchildren, Laura, Cliff, Ken and wife Suzie and their children, Emily and Stephanie. It was Dick's request that there be no memorial service.
