Cindy Lou Ryan August 19, 1953 - July 24, 2016 Lakeside Cindy Lou Ryan, 62, of Lakeside, CA, passed away on July 24th, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Kenneth James Ryan, Ph.D., stepsons Peter and Sean Ryan, and granddaughter Julia Louise. She is also survived by her brothers Jeff, David and Timothy Hustad.Cindy Lou was born in Biloxi, Miss. to Jack and Florence Hustad. Her father was in the Air Force and subsequently traveled extensively. Spain and Germany were some of the ports of call.Cindy graduated from Santana High School and also National University with a degree in accounting. Given her perfect grades, Cindy was offered a full scholarship at N.U. at the master's level. She chose tax work and excelled in its preparation.Cindy was also known for her knitting skills (prayer shawls, sweaters, etc.) and won many awards at the Del Mar State Fair. Recently she had been engaged in recycled art and her grounds are filled with examples of her talent.Cindy had been extensively known for her creativity and quick wit. She was an avid reader. Many call her friend. Her body has been donated to the UC San Diego Body Donation Program.A celebration will take place at Carlton Hills Lutheran Church, 9735 Halberns Blvd., Santee, CA 92071 on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Refreshments will follow.
