June Marian Kuntz, 87, of Nipomo passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Born on July 1, 1930 in Fillmore, CA to John and Carrie Chandler, she attended Motalvo Elementary and Ventura Jr. High Schools. Due to the war in 1943, the family decided to move to Tennessee. June graduated from Maryville High School in Tennessee and in 1949 returned to California to attend Woodbury College in Los Angeles, where she met Edwin, the love of her life! They were married at Forest Lawn in Glendale in March 1951, before she graduated from college. While Ed and June resided in Glendale, Canoga Park and La Crescenta, their sons: Daniel and Douglas were born. The family attended La Crescenta Presbyterian Church and became members of "The Cruisers," in which they made life-long friends of 60+ years. In March of 1988, June moved into a home in Cambria, which had been designed by Ed. Making the Cambria Presbyterian Church their home, June enjoyed helping with the Vacation Bible Study, thrift store sales and so much more. She also served on the Deacon Board for two different terms. In addition, Ed and June joined a dance club in Cambria and enjoyed Dixieland festivals near and far, camping and traveling across the U.S. and other countries. June was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ed; and her brother, Fred Chandler. She is survived by her sons: Daniel (Cherie) and Douglas (Kathy); grand- children: Matt (Brie), Kindra, Erica, Josh and Karly; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. June will be truly missed and remembered by all whose lives she touched. The Kuntz family would like to thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement and love, especially to the Hospice care that June received. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 15, 2018, at Cambria Presbyterian Church, with a Celebration of Life to follow in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in June's name be made to the Cambria Presbyterian Church, Hospice, or .
