Our beloved mother, Mildred E. Cotner Gallion-Story passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Conway, South Carolina. Known to her friends as Millie, she was born in March of 1934 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late George and Sasha (Glomb) Cotner. She graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1952. Upon graduation, she served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1955 at Lackland AFB Texas, where she met her husband, Clinton D. Gallion Sr. They were wed in Clint's hometown of Bakersfield on December 27, 1956. In 1977, Millie married Monte M. Story of Los Osos, California, until his passing in June of 2012. She was employed with the California Highway Patrol in San Luis Obispo and retired in 1995 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, dining out, gardening, playing card games, especially pinochle, and watching a good movie. Millie is survived by her three sons: Clinton D. Gallion Jr. and Michael A. Gallion of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Stephen D. Gallion, of Conway South Carolina; and five grandchildren: Joshua (Tricia) Gallion, Katelin Gallion, Matthew (Angelia) Gallion, Jennifer Gallion and Nicholas Gallion; and one great-grandson, Levi Gallion. A graveside service was held, July 6, 2018, at Pomfret Manor Cemetery in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
