Vivian Luella Hochstetler passed away peacefully in Atascadero on September 8, 2018, at the age of 85. Vivian was born in Argyle, MN, and graduated from high school in Davenport, IA. She moved to CA shortly thereafter, and married Leon Hochstetler. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed camping, baking, and spending time with her many friends and family members. She is survived by her children: Robert Hochstetler, of Whitley Gardens, Daniel Hochstetler of Atascadero, Julie Kauffold (Jimi) of Atascadero and Beth O'Dill (Joe) of Green Bay; grand- children: Derek Hochstetler, Kari Hochstetler, Erika Hochstetler, Evan Tetrault and Andy Hochstetler; as well as three great-grandchildren and another on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hochstetler; son, Randy Hochstetler; and husband, Carl Gornowitz. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 8, 2018, at Wheeler-Smith Mortuary in San Luis Obispo, CA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vivian's life.
