Obituary Condolences

Marion Baumann-Parkhurst was born on August 21, 1912 and went home to be with the Lord April 6, 2009. She was preceded by her parents Max and Frieda Rosenthal who were murdered by the Nazi's, and her baby Ronald-Michael Piccard-Baumann who was born and died in the Bergen-Belsen Concentration camp.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years Donald Burton Parkhurst and her daughter Karen Piccard-Baumann from her first marriage. Her large extended family includes stepchildren Martin and Pamela Parkhurst, Helen and Al Gerhard, Daniel and Carlene Parkhurst, Gordon Parkhurst and Tanja Metzel in Germany, Abraham and his brother Ashraf from Egypt, cousin Evelyn Philson in New Zealand, and a host of others"¦

In recent years Marion has been a spokesperson for Jews for Jesus and the author of Searching Survivor and the answer I found Volumes one and two, about her early life in the Nazi concentration camps and her later years of life, love and adventure with her adoring husband Don.

The services will be held in Santa Cruz on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist church located at 1024 Cayuga Street, 95062.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to either the Jews for Jesus Foundation, 60 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 or Canvasback Missions, Inc., 940 Adams Street, Suite R, Benicia, CA 94510.
