We are so sad Cliff has left us. He was such a sweet fun-loving man...and what an artist! He and his lovely wife Norma would frequently come to restaurants where my husband and I sang and played piano, and it was always so delightful to see them! -Nanette Stauff

What an amazing artist and what a kind hearted man. Clifford carved a sign for me which I had commissioned as a gift for my husband. When I went to check on its progress I was speechless. He had done more than what was asked. I was expecting a rustic sign and Clifford had turned my simple sketch into a beautiful work of art. He went the extra mile just for the sake of beauty. Every minute I spent in his company was enriching. Clifford shared so many stories of his life, his career, his artwork. His generosity of spirit was boundless. Clifford Short's presence will be so missed in this community. My husband and I send our deepest condolences to dear Norma and to Clifford's entire family. There will now and forever be a brighter star in the heavens.
