Resident of Santa Cruz
Marilyn was a beautiful person. Her bright blue eyes and engaging smile delighted everyone she met. She was a free spirit with a warm and loving heart. Born in Boston, MA and raised in Canterbury, NH, Marilyn moved to Santa Cruz, CA with her parents at the age of 16. Marilyn relocated to Scottsbluff, NE where she owned and managed a successful local business. She returned to Santa Cruz where she has lived many years. Marilyn loved gardening and was known to have a green thumb just like her mother. An animal lover and advocate, she rescued many strays, including dogs, cats and birds. An avid reader and jewelry designer, her jewelry has been featured in local Santa Cruz shops. Marilyn's sparkling personality and generous nature drew people to her. She loved people and everyone loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Clark and her granddaughter Krystal who were the joy and happiness of her life. She is also survived by her siblings, William A. Batchelder of Reading, PA, Susan A. Crovo of Santa Cruz, CA and Rev. George H. Batchelder of Santa Cruz, CA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
