Donald Eugene Dixon (1942 - 2019)

DONALD EUGENE DIXON Donald Eugene Dixon was born in Santa Fe, NM in 1942 to Willard Norris Dixon Sr. and Marta Arvita (Patsy) Dixon. The youngest of three boys, he attended Acequia Madre Elementary School in Santa Fe and graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute. After graduation, Don served in the US Army in Berlin, Germany, and witnessed the building of the Berlin Wall. He returned home to attend and graduate from the University of New Mexico, where he met his wife Linda Diane Devlin. They were married in the early 1970's and moved to the Los Angeles area. Don worked for the Social Security Administration until his retirement in the 1990's. Don loves to sail and spent most of his free time sailing his boat off the coast of Southern California. After retirement, he relocated to Florida. Don passed away in Ormond Beach, Florida in April of 2019, just prior to his 77th birthday. He is survived by his older brothers, Hobart (Hobey) Norris Dixon and Willard (Bill) Norris, Jr, their wives, Ruth and Susan respectively, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A private family memorial is planned.
