I was so sad to learn recently of Kate´s passing. She brought joy into our home when she tutored our son and taught him to read. So dedicated and loving and skillful, and fun, she invited our son into a love of reading which continues, still, 26 years later. My condolences to her friends and family, and my deepest gratitude to Kate.

Kate also went to The College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore, MD as I did. We graduated different years. I thought of her at my 45th reunion September 2023 and how amazed she would have been at how the college has grown.

Although I knew you when you lived in Baltimore so many many years ago, your friendship brought pleasure to my life.
My sincerest sympathies to your family. May they have peace knowing that you lived your life the way that you wanted to.

So grateful to have known Kate as a friend and neighbor living literally across the street. As I light this candle to honor and remember Kate, I realize that Kate is that candle, a sparkling light for all to behold. Such a wonderful spirit, full of enthusiasm and love, delighted by life and those around her. Kate's light graced our home and hearts, and our little neighborhood too. Thank you, Kate, for your beauty and grace, and your generous spirit. Godspeed ~ and know that you are remembered with love. Cynthia & Betsy Fulreader

Wisdom; courage; joy in all things, and especially deep love of family, these and more of Kate's very special qualities will forever leave her present in the personal world that surrounded her, near and far. Kate leaves in me the desire to honor her by seeking to emulate this wonderful gift to that world.

Kate was such a lovely person. I met her at the Botanical Garden. She contacted me after realizing that we both graduated from the College of Notre Dame, Maryland. We worked at the visitors center and also travelled to ABQ to a few dances before she wasn't feeling well. I'll miss her.

I'm so sad to hear of Kate's passing, I've known her for many years and she always seemed so vibrant, it was always a pleasure to talk with her. I will miss seeing her out and about at art openings and events. What a terrible loss.
