DR. STEVEN BRUCE KIDMAN
Dr. Steven Bruce Kidman passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 58 in his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Steven was born in Huron, South Dakota on April 19, 1962. His family moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1966.
During Steven's younger days, he ministered to shut-ins and played in the handbell choir at St. John's United Methodist Church. Steven was an accomplished competitive swimmer. He won state and regional competition and eventually became a nationally ranked swimmer in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) in long distance free style and long distance individual medley. Steven graduated from Baylor University in 1984 and then earned his MD degree in 1990 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Steven completed his Fellowship as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, credentialed by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation on November 14, 1997. Spine, Sports, and Pain Medicine was the private practice he opened and operated for the last 15 years in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Steven also lived in Columbia, Missouri; New York City; and Chicago, Illinois.
Steven is survived by his father, Bruce H. Kidman; brothers, Brian and Mark; sisters-in-law, Stephanie and Yvette; and five nieces, Anna, Katie, Sallie, Emmy, and Jenna. Additionally, there are countless aunts, uncles, and cousins that he leaves behind.
The above are just a few of his accomplishments. Steven will be most known for his compassionate and generous heart. He was a man of integrity and strong character. He loved without strings attached.
