Concetta Ceglia Obituary

Concetta (Norma) Ceglia

November 14, 1933 - January 9, 2024

Concetta (Norma) Ceglia, a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandma and Great- Great- Grandma left to go home January 9, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Al Ceglia, Mother (Connie Ermocida), Father (Andrew Ermocida) and Brother (Pasquale Ermocida). She went peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her 3 children; Rose Cumberland and her husband Craig, Patricia Ceglia-Wyatt and her husband Ed, Albert Ceglia Jr. and his wife Lisa, and her 4 Grandchildren; Christy Anderson and her husband Matt, Trisha Stewart and her husband Jay, Maria Ray-Costanza and her husband Corey, Concetta Klaudt and her husband Dave.

She is also remembered by her 11 Great-grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-grandchildren; her 4 siblings, Felicia and husband John Amoroso of Arizona, Dee Goldstein of Arizona, Sal Ermocida of Nevada, and Eddie Ermocida of Nevada. Norma lost her one and only love of 70 years, 4 years ago. She loved him with every fiber of her being, family was everything to her and she loved us all immensely. Mom was a member of the Legion of Mary for over 50 years and worked diligently for her church, St.Louis de Montfort in Orcutt. She and her family have been parishioners for over 50 years. Throughout that time, they worked side by side for parish activities. Norma was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation at Saint Mary's church and worked hard serving spaghetti dinners with her husband, two of her children, and son-in-law. Often, they made one-thousand meatballs at a time. She was always there to help in any way she could. Her husband Al was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus and Norma always worked very hard by his side. She loved the Knights and she loved helping them.

Her church, along with her family, was her great joy in life. Norma was a wonderful woman of God and never met a person she considered a stranger. Everyone she met quickly became family, and this was instilled in her children, to be loving and accepting of everyone.

Our mom will be greatly missed, but we know she is happy and healthy with our Lord and Savior and we will all meet again. Services will be at Saint Louis de Montfort Church; the rosary will be Friday, January 19th at 4:00 pm and the funeral mass will be Saturday, January 20th at 10:00 am.

Norma, Thank you for showing all your family and friends what love really is.
You and Al will always be remembered as that "special couple" that we will all miss at 9:30 Mass. Thanks to our faith we know you and Al are together again. We will miss you until we meet again.

We were church friends @St Louis de Montfort, seeing & greeting them each time. I saw Norma @ services, in pain & participation in spite of, as she dealt with medical issues. I admired both Al & Norma for all their love & service & too, those Meatballs! RIP, Dear
"Pew Pal". David & Pat Swann
