It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished Beverly Mae Hoebel, who left us peacefully on August 24, 2025 at the age of 91. Beverly's warmth and creativity touched every life she encountered.
Born August 1, 1934, Beverly was the only child of Robert and Edith Fidler. She was best known for her remarkable and successful painting career in oils, watercolors and murals. Some of her favorite subjects to paint were her gorgeous seascapes, beautiful forest landscapes, her lovely floral stills and her passion for painting native children. She shared her love for art with her now deceased partner, Lamar Rowbury. Beyond her own work, she shared her artistic passion by teaching art classes at the Senior Center, inspiring others to explore their own creativity.
Beverly will be missed by her children (James, Dawn, and Robert), grandchildren (Justin, Kimberly, Drew, and Casey), and great-grandchildren (Nick, Keira, and Rylan). She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Friends and family are invited to honor her memories by sharing stories, displaying her artwork, or making a donation to the Santa Maria Senior Center in lieu of flowers. Beverly Mae Hoebel leaves behind a legacy of color and kindness-a reminder that every canvas, like every life, holds the potential for beauty.
