Cody Tyler Taecker

February 3, 1993 - January 21, 2023

Cody Tyler Taecker, 29, a loving, jubilant, and outgoing son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 21st, 2023. Cody was born on February 3rd, 1993 to his adoring parents William and Vicki Taecker in Santa Maria, Ca. Cody, the youngest Taecker baby born to Vicki and Bill, was known as their 'Bonus Baby '.

Cody Taecker was born, raised and attended School in Santa Maria. Cody attended Tunnell Elementary, Tommie Kunst Junior High, and Pioneer Valley High School, graduating with the class of 2011. In high school Cody was involved in band, robotics, track and field, A.V.I.D., and the swim team; all of which he greatly enjoyed.

Cody Taecker worked at Jack in the Box during high school where he was offered a job as a busser at Shaw's Steakhouse. After graduating in 2011, Cody continued to work at Shaw's as a Server. During that time he attended classes at Allen Hancock College. After working at Shaw's for six years Cody was recruited to join Cellular Sales. He achieved numerous awards and recognitions for his excellent customer service and leading sales for the company. After leaving Cellular Sales Cody worked at Red Robin in Santa Maria, where he worked as a server, bartender, and manager. Cody was an amazing team member with many regulars who loved his upbeat, positive energy.

Cody was a talented, charismatic, and joyful individual who had many hobbies and interests including skiing, skateboarding, drawing, playing and writing music, surfing, gaming, and building computers. Cody's joy was infectious and everyone who knew him, greatly admired his silly, childlike nature. He was a talented musician who shared his gift when he performed. His charisma would draw you in and his genuine friendship would create lifelong, meaningful memories. Cody never held back, and was never afraid to be himself. Those who were lucky enough to know Cody throughout his life will never forget him.

Cody Tyler Taecker is proceeded in death by his father and mother, William Taecker and Vicki Taecker. He is survived by his sisters Jennifer, Nicole, and Amanda, and his eleven nieces and nephews; Braylee, Gianni, Shaunte, Rashad, Andre, Breanna, Jayvonne, Maxim, Phoenix, Riley, and Levi.

Services to honor Cody's life will be held on March 3rd, 2023 at 3:00pm at New Hope Church. 416 W. Mill Street, Santa Maria, California. A reception will immediately follow at New Hope Church.
