Jim Larkin Obituary
December 9, 1932 - October 12, 2022
Jim Papa Larkin of Santa Maria, Ca passed away Wednesday October 12, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was one of eight children. He moved to Santa Maria, Ca when he became employed at VAFB as an aerospace engineer at Martin Marietta. He worked at VAFB for Martin Marietta until he retired. He was a very proud veteran. He served his country in the Navy on the USS Mispillion AO-105 and fought in the Korean War. He was also a proud member of the American Legion post 534 for over 50 years. Papa never went anywhere without his USS Mispillion hat on and that's how we will always remember him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Loran and Iva Larkin, his brothers Harold, Carl, and Kenneth Larkin, and his sisters Louise Goodman and Lora Dickinson. He is survived by his sister Barbara Little and his brother Clyde (Carol) Larkin, his wife Young Larkin, his daughter Iva Larkin, and his grandchildren Breanna Berns and Jarvis Larkin, along with lots of nieces and nephews.
Papa was our hero and a giver to all who knew him. So, to honor him please make a donation to your charity of choice. Papa requested to not have any services so we are honoring his wishes. Papa, we know this is not goodbye, as we will see you again. We love you always.
