Sacramento, California - Born on January 9, 1943 Nicasio "Nick" Rudolfo Ugsang, Jr. was raised in Guadalupe, California. He attended Santa Maria High School and upon graduation, Nick joined the Army in 1961 and served in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He left the service in 1964 and married Emily Aleman and had five children. He was a share farmer for many years and then joined the United States Postal Service. He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing and playing cards with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed baseball and became a coach in the community. He is preceded in death by his parents Nicasio Ugsang, Sr., his mother Epifania "Fanny" Ugsang and his siblings Gertrude, Robert, Ricky and Ronald. He is survived by his sisters: Josephine, June, Anna May and one brother. Children: Katrina (Suresh), Nicole (Corey), Nick (MaryLou), Theresa (Allan), Samuel (Nicole); Grandchildren: Victor, Chanzie, Meshack, James, Corey Jr., Quintin, Steven, Joseph, Raelynn, Isaac, Kiele, Allan J., Nicasio, Samuel, Jessica, Anthony, Sophia and Ryan; and Great Grandchildren: Michael, Charming, Alize, Lily, Natalia, Bryant, Adalyn, Brayden, Chanelle, Ezekiel, Lukah. All are welcome to attend his funeral service at the Apostolic Church at 400 N. Mary Dr., Santa Maria, CA on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1 pm and a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Hall, 1025 Guadalupe St., Guadalupe, CA on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 10-6 pm.

pina,running the tracks/riverbed as kids,the target lessons with your uncle,fishing at the school lake.you standing on the mound for the yankees.when you got that little devious grin on your face we know what was coming,we would balk and back up and that curve ball would zoom right over the strike zone ,we were out.those were the ,"stand by me" days.i miss you brother.R.I.P.and god speed.
