Lakewood-Pat Buchanan born in L.A. 1927 - January 2024
She was a great wife, mom, aunt and friend to all her knew her. Pat married the love of her life Bill. In 1947, they bought a home in Lakewood like so many G.I.'s fresh out of the service from WWII. Once retired, they relocated to their dream home in Santa Maria. At 62, Pat took up tennis and golf but Rancho Santa Maria won her heart. She joined the lady's club and played often with her best friend Mary Lou until she was 82. She loved and adored her son-in-law, Byron. She was a 2nd mom to him. Her friend Rita, (who mom) lovingly called "my angelic porch fairy" would often leave goodies, notes and bring conversations of interest and joy. Ana blessed her and acted as a second daughter helping her in countless ways. Bill preceded her journey to heaven in 2006. Pat is survived by Peter, Jean, & Sarah Jane Andersen, Gene & Alecia Brooks, Don Sherry & Debi, Ron & Gay Sherry, Brian & Cheri Ford, her friends and family. Her light shines bright from above. In lieu of flowers please donate to a rescue animal shelter of your choice.
