Wanda Bennett
Wanda Gean Bennett, 80, died Sunday, November 29th in her home in Arroyo Grande.
Wanda was born in Freedom, OK on June 9, 1929 and moved to Arroyo Grande in 1958 with her husband Jim and daughter Debbie. She worked as a waitress, deep muscle therapist and retired from home health care.
Wanda enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, raising animals, quilting, canning, camping and country living. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She deeply loved her family and cherished her many friends. Her positive attitude, quick wit and caring heart made her a blessing to all who knew her. She practiced the art of unconditional love.
Wanda joins her husband and son, James Boyd Bennett Senior and Junior, son in law Jeff Bowers, parents Violet and William Thomas and four brothers; Gerald, Dean, Paul and Joe Thomas, in the presence of the Lord.
She is survived by daughters Deborah Bowers and Tina Bennett; grandchildren Julia Bennett, Jenna Bennett and Jeffery Bowers; daughter-in-law Susan Bennett; and sisters Shirley Dunn, Wilma Saville and Lena Cornelison, brothers and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday December 12th at 11:00am at Marshall - Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch Ave, Grover Beach.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the People's Kitchen, a local food bank, or charity of you choice.

I will always remember Wanda for her quick wit, positive attitude and her ready smile! She will surely be missed. Wanda, I'm sure you are dancing up in heaven with your hubby and that's the way it should be!

I remember the wonderful 4th of July parties on Wanda's mountain. She was a gracious person. My condolences to you Debbie and Jeffrey, you have surely been through a lot. Thinking of you. Pat & Diana Kelly
