Arthur Sellers

Arthur J. Sellers, Sr. Queensbury - Art, 93 died at Saratoga Hospital on Sunday, August 3, 2014. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He was the son of the late Charles and Sarah Johnstone Sellers. Art was formerly of Ballston Spa. Art served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a Comptroller for General Electric Company, Schenectady. Art was a member of the Glens Falls Elks Lodge, the Moreau Senior Citizens and the Fort Edward American Legion. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marion D. Sellers and his brother, Charles Sellers Survivors include his wife Patricia Jones Sellers of Queensbury, his son: Arthur J. Sellers, Jr and his wife Thomisa of Lake Luzerne, His grandchildren Aejaie and husband Tony Franciscus-Sellers, James Sellers, and his wife Dorothy, his great granddaughter Samantha Sellers, several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 80 Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls. Committal service with military honors will follow at Ballston Spa Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in Art’s name be made to Alzheimer’s Association Of Northeastern New York, 4 Pine West Plaza, Ste 405, Albany, NY 12205.
