She will be highly missed. She was such a sweet lady. I always made it a point to stop and talk to her when I would see her at work.

I was so shocked when I heard this Tuesday. I worked with Hazel for many years at Rincon Walmart. She was such a loving and caring person, it was my privilege to have known her. Praying for God's strength and comfort for her family and friends in the coming days.

Day's like today are both hard and joyful at the same time as one sits here reflecting on a life with his mother. Growing up with my mother was not always easy for us kids, as she was tough on us because all she ever wanted was to see us succeed. However, my mom had a soft loving side. My mom loved children, she loved to be surrounded by children. She really loved being with her grand children and her great-grand children. In addition, she was probably they most talented artist that I will ever know. This woman could take a few pieces of crafting materials, turning them into the most beautiful creation. She could sew just about anything, she could paint on just about any canvas, and she mold and model just about any shape. She was incredibly talented in her younger years. We will always treasure the gifts that she so expertly created for my family and me over the years. In addition to creating, she loved to use the talents God gave her to teach others to craft, create, and bring to life these precious creations. This was probably the biggest downfall she had in businesses she started, as Jesus might have said, "she would rather teach a person a crafting skill so they may eat than take money from them that they did not have to give". The one thing that I will always cherish about my mother is her generosity to give to others, whether it was her own children, her grand-children, her great-grand-children, a friend or a stranger, at the expense of my dad and her going without. If that is not a big heart, I will never know what one is! Mom I promise, I am going to strive to be a better person, a better husband to my wife and a better father to my children, and a better keeper of faith. I love and miss you mom, I love and miss you.

My mom will be dearly missed. She went above and beyond for her children and grandchildren! She was a devoted wife for over 50 years and an amazing artist. She could sew anything and did. She made my prom dress and bridesmaids dresses for several weddings including my brothers. She dried flowers for my sister's bouquets and made bouquets for my other sister's and several of our friends. I am honored to be her daughter!
