1940 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Henry David Greer, a resident of Richmond Hill, Georgia passed away at his home, Thursday, August 30, after a lengthy illness. Born in Clay County, Alabama on March 26, 1940, he was 78.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Virginia (Satterfield) Greer of Troy, Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally, of 45 years; his devoted sons, Lance Greer (Christy) of Suwanee, GA and Rusty Greer (Marcelle) of Savannah, GA; his grandchildren, Jackson and James Greer of Suwanee, GA, Cadence, Landon and David Greer of Savannah, GA; brother Tommy (fiancee, Donna Baird) of Guntersville, AL: 1 nephew, 2 nieces, 4 grandnieces, 2 grandnephews, cousins and many friends.

He graduated President of his 1958 Class from Bibb County High School, Centreville, AL. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1962. After graduation, he lived in Clanton, AL and was employed by the State of Alabama as a Water Safety Patrolman. In 1966, he began his career as a US Treasury Special Agent until his retirement in 1997.

David was known for his wit and sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a big Alabama football fan. Some of his most cherished moments were spent with his adoring grandchildren. Known as a gifted storyteller, David was admired and loved by many. He will be missed dearly.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home and Crematory, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 (770-448-5757) on September 15, 2018. Visitation 12:30 -2:00. Service and Celebration at 2:00.
