Jean Kenney Harp Obituary
Jean Kenney Harp

Jean, 93, from Redlands, California, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on July 1st, 2018. Jean was welcomed into the world on June 24th, 1925 in Maine, by two loving parents, Clarence Wilfred Kenney and Beatrice Melissa Earley.
An appreciation of the arts grew within her at a young age for ballet, painting, and playing the piano, among others. In her late teens (early 20's), she met the love of her life, J. Edward Harp. Together they traveled the world; she would often share fond memories of their trips together; and then brought two handsome, strong, and hilarious boys into the world, Chris and Brent. As the years went on, she would paint stunning portraits of her family, and hang them proudly in her home.
Along with her love of painting and playing the piano, Jean had a great passion for writing poetry and had authored her own book titled "Harp Strings". Jean was also an active member of "The Daughters of the American Revolution" and a member of the "Mayflower Society".
She lived a long, healthy life, with the companionship of her border collie's, outliving her husband and two sons. She is survived by her grandson, Edward (Kizour) Harp, granddaughter Lindsey Harp; grandson Patrick Harp; grandson, Michael (Anna) Harp; and three great grandchildren.
Jean's services will be held at Redlands Congregational Church, at 11:00 am on July 20th, led by pastor Lowell Linden, with a small reception following the service.
Dear Grandma Jean,
We wish you a rosy future in your life beyond, with your three Harp men standing beside you. Until we meet again
