Olivia Ann Serrano

1947 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Olivia Ann Serrano
Olivia Ann Serrano, aged 70, died peacefully at home as she slept next to the love of her life, in the early morning hours of Sunday December 31, 2017. Olivia was born January 25, 1947, to her loving parents, Seferino and Nancy Montana. She was one of ten children. As a young girl at home she often dreamt of being a Wife and Mama, always taking care of her many nieces and nephews. Olivia graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1965. A few years later she found her Prince Charming, Louis Serrano, "across the street", and they began their fairy tale when they married in 1970. They started their "Serrano Empire" in 1972, with the birth of their first child, Louis Jr.. They had three more children over the next few years, Kimberly in 1973, Nick in 1975 and completing their family in 1977 with their youngest, Stefanie. With two boys and two girls, their family was complete. She spent many of the early years of her marriage caring for her Mom and Dad and enjoyed sharing her family with them. Olivia was made to be a Mama. She thoroughly enjoyed spending every waking minute with her husband and kids. She loved gardening, camping, traveling, scrapbooking, visiting with her brothers and sisters, thrifting, and the outdoors. She loved playing the slots in Vegas with her Love. She enjoyed volunteering at Emmerton Elementary, where her children attended, and was a beloved "Yard Duty" for many years. As her kids got older she found a new love in 1988, with her first "Babes", when she began babysitting her Goddaughter Shawna-Rei. Over the next several years, babysitting Shawna-Rei, nieces, nephews, and friends of the family became a great love for her. She was already the best Mama EVER, but when her first grandchild came into this world in 1996, she found her niche and became the best Grandma in the WORLD.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Seferino and Nancy Montana, her brothers, Ed and Tommy Montana, and Carmelino Filippini, and her sisters, Teddy and Erma Adame. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly forty eight years, Louis Serrano Sr., her brother, John Montana, her sisters, Josie Cano, and Nancy and Dumpling Avila, her children, Louis Jr.(and Lisa) Serrano, Kimberly (and Eric Sr.) Romero, Nick (and Lupe) Serrano, and Stefanie (and Justin Sr.) Wall, her Goddaughter Shawna-Rei (and Makana) Sagadraca, eighteen grandchildren, Jason, Jenna, Ryan, Stefanie, Eric Jr., Jimmy, Daniel, Alex, Jamie, Jennifer, Justin Jr., Noah, Kristen, Garett, Ky-Mani, Micah, Kamuela, and Tehani, and one great-granddaughter Jade. She will live in our hearts forever. Rest Well Our Queen...Until we meet again...
