Armando Fuerte

Armando Fuerte died on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at San Antonio Community Hospital, after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. Ed was born in San Bernardino to Josephine (Jimenez) and Luis Fuerte on January 11, 1943. He happily grew up in Colton, CA, with his brother and two sisters. He graduated from Colton High School in 1961, entered the Army and served in Vietnam. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he attend ed Chaffey College and graduated from Los Angeles Trade Technical College, earning his Associate degree in Lithography and Offset Presswork. Edward began his own business, Litho Craft Printers, in 1977. Ed was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Upland and a PAL of Assistance League of the Foothill Communities. He took pleasure in training for and completing marathons. Ed enjoyed music, travel, a great meal out with friends, and going to the movies. He was very proud of his children, Tricia, Rya n and James, and their various accomplishments and greatly welcomed his grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Luis, and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rachael; daughter, Tricia Peterson (Dr. Richard, grandchildren Gabriella and Richard); son, Ryan (Jennifer, granddaughter Riley) and son, James (Clover); his mother, Josephine; brother, Luis (Gloria); sister, Molly Partanen (John); and sister, Martha Delgado (Martin). Viewing will be Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Stone Funeral Home in Upland. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30th. Graveside services will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario. Memorial gifts may be made to Damien High School Cross Country Program (La Verne, CA) and St. Lucy's Priory High School Cross Country Program (Glendora, CA) in memory of our beloved husband, father, son and brother, Edward A. Fuerte. Stone Funeral Home in charge of arra ngements.
