Joyce J. Brown, 85, of Hamburg, passed away Friday while a resident of Kutztown Manor.
Born Aug. 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lamar and Pauline Boyer.
Joyce was a graduate of Cressona High School.
She attended several churches as she moved throughout her life, attending Cressona Bethany Evangelical Church then First United Methodist Church in Port Carbon and lastly was a member of Reedsville Evangelical Church.
Joyce worked for ALCOA most of her life but also was employed by Glosser Brothers and finally Value City before retiring.
She was strong in her faith and enjoyed attending Bible study. Joyce also loved her family whether eating out or attending family gatherings or spending time with her six grandchildren who were the light of her life. She also enjoyed good music, TV, bingo with friends or participating in arts and crafts.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Harold M. Brown, in 1997; son, Harold L. Brown, in 1999.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Pollyanne Bonning, wife of Brian, Hamburg; daughter-in-law, Lisa Wenzel, New Ringgold; a brother, Gerald Boyer, husband to Carol, Lake Wynonah. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Kayla Brown, Jacob, Emily and Rylee Wenzel and Sawyer and Priscilla Bonning; nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Ron Rice officiating. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com.

Very sorry to hear about your mother, she was a very good friend to my mom Jean Keithan. I spoke with Joyce many times when she would call to check in. It was my mother and me who sent her the ribbon decoration. She loved it.

Pollyanne, we are so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She was a good friend to my Mother, (Jean Keithan.) They had many long phone conversations. I think they were good for eachother. My sisters and I felt like we knew your Mother. May God Bless you and your family and help you get through this most difficult time.
