Claude C. Krause, 87, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.

Born in Summit Station, Nov. 27, 1930, he was a son of the late William H. and Stella L. Schneck Krause.

He was the husband of Sara Ella Edwards Krause, whom he married Nov. 25, 1950.

Claude was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn, the Summit Station Fire Company, and the Teamsters Union.

He was formerly employed at Arrow Carrier, Schuylkill Haven, as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, Claude was also preceded in death by his son, Glenn Allen Krause; grandchildren, Michael Krause and Dina Marie Klahr; siblings, Fred, Harry, William, Lester, Arlan, Lilly and Anna.

In addition to his wife, Claude is also survived by a daughter, Linda Reed and fiance, Leroy Knapp Sr., Schuylkill Haven; three sons, Albert Krause and wife, Debbie, Auburn, Dale Krause and wife, Joan, Schuylkill Haven, and Todd Krause and husband, Christopher, Washington; daughter-in-law, Eileen Krause, widow of Glenn, Schuylkill Haven; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn. The family requests donations in Claude's memory to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Living Memorial Fund, 1235 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922.
