Florence Misunas, 95, of Girardville, passed away Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mahanoy City, Feb. 21,1923, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Zukowski.

Florence worked in the garment industry until her retirement in 1983. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering with fundraising for the Girard Hose Company, where she helped prepare food for fundraising events for over 40 years. She attended church at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Girardville.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Misunas; a son, Albert Misunas; three brothers, Jack Narbutitus, Louis Narbutitus and Alphonsus Narbutitus; three sisters, Julia Anyzek, Beatrice Faust and Dorothy Bacha; two nephews, Edmund Anyzek and William Faust.

She is survived by a son, George Misunas and his wife, Joy; daughter-in-law, Deb Misunas and her fiance, Ed Hayes; granddaughter, Melissa Lyden and her husband, Jason; grandson, George Misunas Jr. and his wife, Katie; great-grandson, Hunter Misunas; great- granddaughter, Amelia Lyden; goddaugher and niece, Maryann Lamarra; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent De Paul Worship Center, Girardville, with the Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Frackville. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the .
