J. Ronald Devine, Donaldson, entered into eternal rest Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in Pottsville, Aug. 4, 1938, to the late Joseph and Margaret Tracey Mask Devine.

He was a graduate of Tremont High School, Class of 1956. He retired from Cleaver-Brooks, Lebanon, in 1995 after 33 years.

He graduated from Schuylkill Training & Technology Center in 1997 with honors. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Tremont, where he was a past treasurer. He was a past supervisor for Frailey Township and a former treasurer for Frailey Township Sewer Authority.

He was a lifetime member of the Donaldson Fire Company, a past director of Pottsville Bowling Association and secretary and treasurer of various bowling leagues at Pine Lanes. He was a past treasurer of Cleaver-Brooks Independent Union, a past president of Tremont Area Senior Citizens and an active member of Diakon Community Services Tremont Center. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Shirley and her husband, Marvin Bixler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ilene Morgan Devine; his children, Lynn Griffiths, Donaldson, Lisa and husband, Father James Weremedic, Coaldale, John Devine and wife, Jennifer, Donaldson, and Joseph Devine and wife, Dee Ann, Williamstown; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Jerry Devine and wife, Janet; sisters, Loretta Urgola and husband, Anthony, and Laverle Staller; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Nancy Gehres will officiate. A Panikhida Service will be held at the Donaldson Community Cemetery by the Very Rev. James Weremedic prior to interment.
