Janet Ann Angelo, 83, of Newark, Del., passed away peacefully May 2.

Born in Minersville, Aug. 25, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Susan Polny Lazarsky.

She was a devoted, gentle, caring person who enjoyed cooking, reading, and above all, spending time with her cherished family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur J. Angelo Jr., and sister, Dorothy C. Sholansky.

She is survived by her children, Michael A. Angelo (Linda), Rehoboth Beach, Del., James Angelo, Newark, Del., Arthur K. Angelo (Erika), Newark, Del., and Karen R. Angelo, Elkton, Md.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, Del. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, East Main and North Chapel streets, Newark, Del.
