Joseph E. Moyer, 63, of Pine Grove, passed away peacefully Saturday at Laurel Center, Hamburg.

Born in Pottsville, May 7, 1954, he was a son of the late Tennyson and Stella Hand Moyer.

He attended Pine Grove Area High School.

Joseph was a machine operator at Richmond Screw and Anchor, Tremont.

Preceding him in death were a son, Joseph Edward Moyer Jr.; a sister, Ruth Ossman.

Surviving are five daughters, Melissa and husband, Dan McGoey, Schuylkill Haven, Jill and husband, Joseph Faber, Hummelstown, Julie Moyer, Lancaster, Alyssa Williams, Pine Grove, and Brittany Moyer, Roanoke, Va.; a son, Tyler and wife, Samantha Moyer, Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Michael McGoey, Owen and Ean Faber, Jade, Jaelena, Juliana, Jaslyn and Julius Grove; four brothers, Donald, Robert, John and Raymond Moyer; six sisters, Joan Harman, Helen Shadle, Susan Fulkrod, Jean Klinger, Patricia Holstlaw and Beverly Weller; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
