Michael J. Witkus, 72, of Orwigsburg, passed away April 9 at the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Michael was born in Pottsville, May 5, 1945, a son of the late Joseph and Florence Zelonis Witkus.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was formerly employed by Exide.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Witkus, and brothers, Robert and Joseph.

Michael was survived by a son, Christopher Witkus, Hamburg; grandchildren, Madelynn and Kylie; siblings, Allen, Steven and David.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Deacon Jack Quirk officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
