Nicholas J. Corsi, 91, formerly of Frackville, and most recently of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away peacefully at home, Jan. 5.

Nicholas was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Jan. 1, 1927, to Nicholas and Teresa Tursi Corsi.

Nicholas was a veteran, having served in the Army in the Philippines, and a graduate of Columbia University and New York University (M.A.). He was employed in New York City for 15 years, and as comptroller/treasurer at Zapata Industries in Frackville from 1965 until his retirement in 1989. Nicholas was a faithful member of the Frackville Rotary Club for many years.

In addition to his parents, Nicholas was preceded in death by his sister, Angelina Kambach, and his brother, Joseph Corsi.

Nicholas' survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Matilda J. Troise Corsi; his three children, Nicholas A. Corsi and his wife, Michaela, Woodbridge, Va., Carolyn A. Corsi, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Teresa M. (Corsi) Enterline and her husband, Richard, Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Jessica Batson, Tyler, Texas, Joseph Nahom, Tempe, Ariz., Rebecca Nahom, Brooklyn, N.Y., Jacob Nahom, Scottsdale, Ariz., Nicole Enterline, Ridgewood, N.Y., Matthew Enterline, Red Lion, and Joshua-Lee Winter, Handewitt, Germany; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 11 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Ariz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Jan. 12 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 10815 N. 84th St., Scottsdale, Ariz.
