Paul R. Seidel, 85, of Perry Township, died Monday in his residence. He was the husband of the late Mary A. Moyer Seidel, who died Oct. 2, 2016.

Born in Windsor Township, he was a son of the late Arlan R. and Verna E. Seip Seidel.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Wolfe Dye and Bleach, Shoemakersville, for about 30 years, later working from 1974-99 at Glen-Gery Brick as a Kiln Fireman. He was a member of Wagner-Good Post No. 216 VFW, Hamburg, and Behler-Hein Post No. 637 American Legion, Hamburg, Virginville Grange, and Shoemakersville Fire Company. He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball until age 40, and had served as president of the Blue Mountain Softball League. He enjoyed watching baseball, and going to casinos.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald J. Seidel. He was also predeceased by a son, Ted W. Seidel.

Paul is survived by four sons, Gene P. Seidel and wife, Patricia, Lake Wynonah, Scott A. Seidel and wife, Jackie, Glendale, Ariz., Troy S. Seidel and wife, Beverly, Auburn, and Christopher L. Seidel and wife, Deanna, Roxbury, Conn.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Harold M., husband of Ruth Seidel, Windsor Township; and a sister, Dorothy J. Seidel, Frackville.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., 223 Peach St., Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Township.
