Richard D. Cickavage, 77, of Frackville, passed away unexpectedly June 4 at his residence.

Born in Ashland, Sept. 23, 1940, he was a son of the late Anthony B. and Martha Yanalavage Cickavage.

He was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School.

He was a Navy veteran, having served on the USS Decatur.

Richard worked as an electric lineman for Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. until his retirement.

He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Altamont Fire Company, the American Legion, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bernard, and a brother, Anthony.

Richard is survived by three children, sons, David, Ashley, Pa., and Gregory, Nehalem, Ore.; a daughter, Cheryl Schutz, (Michael), Hanover Township; grandchildren; Anthony, Ashley and Alexis Schutz, Brooklyn, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Independence Living Services, especially his aide Keri, for the care and support this past year.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, has charge of arrangements.
