Ronald E. Glass, 79, of Pottsville, passed away Monday at the Lebanon VA Hospital.

Born in Ephrata, Oct. 25, 1938, he was a son of the late Eugene S. and Violet S. Demming Glass.

Ron worked as an accountant in the Reading area and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, earning a Silver Star.

Ron was involved with several community senior citizen groups as well as several community historical societies. He loved to travel and explore his geneology.

He is survived by his spouse, Joseph P. Coddington; a daughter, Rev. Jennifer L. Glass with Maria, Leola; a son, Michael W. Glass with Samantha and their children, Braydan, Corbin and Grace Glass, Knoxville, Pa.; a daughter, Nichole M. Glass with Kenneth, Adamstown; two sisters, Fern L. Weinhold, Fivepointville, and Anita F. Boley, Narvon; nieces and nephews.

Scripture services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, PA 17038, officiated by the Rev. Beth Goudy. Visitation hours will be from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A visitation will also take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., 40 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Contributions in Ron's memory may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc. have been entrusted with the arrangements.
